After the covid-era ‘race for space’, which drove prices sharply upwards, the market has recalibrated as buyers, coming under pressure from higher mortgage rates, have reassessed affordability and the price they’re willing to pay for properties. Prices in city centre locations like Chichester are around 15 to 20% below the autumn 2021 peak, creating some fantastic buying opportunities.
